Cardiologist Visit #1

Wednesday, the 15th of January, we went to Haleigh's first cardiologist appointment. Aunt Ashley came with us, for some support.

They, of course, did their own EKG's and it does show a right bundle branch block.

Then they sent us down the hall for an echocardiogram.

Then it was time for a check up and the results.

The "quick results" from the echo showed that not does Haleigh have a RBBB, but that she also has a "leaky aorta". Her physical exam came out normal.

We have a stress test tomorrow. This will show us how Haleigh's body is tolerating these issues. This may very well just be Haleigh's "normal" for a while. I am really hoping and praying that this is the case and that we can resume with all activities.

We will obviously have to continue cardiologist check ups, but the doctor said that there are usually not any issues with these types of things until about 12-14 years old. I am praying we don't run into issues then either, but we know now that these conditions exist and we can take appropriate measures.
